The Transiting Los Angeles Podcast – #2: “We didn’t wuss out the way Foothill Transit did”

It’s 1992, and the RTD, L.A.’s main transit system at the time, is about to shut its doors. But defiant to the end, one of the agency’s officials makes a quip about one of the city’s smaller transit systems. What was happening in the ’80s and ’90s that brought about the end of the RTD, and why did one of its top officials feel compelled to call Foothill Transit a bunch of wusses?
